The Animal Endocrine Clinic is a state-of-the-art veterinary specialty clinic dedicated to diagnosing and treating cats with a variety of thyroid diseases, such as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid tumors and thyroid cancers. We created our clinic in an environment that combines compassionate care with our highly qualified staff.
Dr. Mark E. Peterson, one of the world’s top authorities in feline and canine endocrinology, directs the Animal Endocrine Clinic. He has devoted his long career to advancing our understanding of endocrine diseases in cats and dogs. Dr. Peterson is one of the few veterinarians in the country to not only to specialize in endocrinology (especially thyroidology), but also to devote all of his working time to caring for cats with thyroid disorders especially hyperthyroid cats to be treated with radioiodine.
The thyroid system is an intricate tapestry of many thyroid and pituitary hormones and control mechanisms. Thus, this complex system can fail in many places. Thyroid disorders are both multitudinous and often difficult to treat. Only a specialist has seen enough cases to effectively diagnose and treat these different thyroid disorders.
Our mission at the Animal Endocrine Clinic is to combine compassion with cutting-edge science to help cats with thyroid disorders. If your cat has hyperthyroidism or another thyroid problem, contact us so that we can work with both you and your veterinarian to make your cat healthy again.
